Paper Island was the location of Copenhagen Street Food and Copenhagen Contemporary, and outside that was Yoko Ono’s Wish Tree Garden installation. We were surprised to see a wish about Plymouth Argyle!
We found our first Christmas Market at Højbro Plads (High Bridge Square) where we sampled the sausages, chips (crisps) and the traditional mulled wine called gløgg.
After exploring the Christmas Market we took a wander up one of the main shopping streets in Copenhagen.
We found a nice little spot for lunch on Gammel Strand.
We took a tour of the Copenhagen waterways to see the city from a different perspective. We witnessed a magnificent sunset as the tour progressed!
We caught site of this sculpture in the river near Højbro Bridge.
We needed to top up on gløgg but had to stop and look at these creepy animated characters first.
It’s from Denmark y’know?
We reached Odense just as all the attractions were closing. Still managed to get some photos of trains though.
The Round Tower is an observatory with an amazing spiral passageway leading to the top. It’s also the de-facto centre point of Copenhagen.
One cannot have too much gløgg...
We walked around Nyhavn, had some fush & chups in Nyhavn 17, then retired to Fugu and Ruby for cocktails.
